Position Essay-Select the following writing prompt for an argumentative essay. Your essay should stake out a position or perspective about some issue that you think is the best or better, more effective, more ethical, way of understanding or viewing the issue at stake. So consider the following writing prompts and try to identify an “issue” or an especially important or significant idea that you think is “at stake” or of interest in your principal position. This idea/principle/term is likely going to be at the heart of your thesis statement.

Prompt # -Consider the story of the Little Prince. What is strange about the adult world according to the various character in the novel? To what extent do you find the various characters to be representations of what we consider to be “normal” behavior in the society today? Is the Little Prince a “hero” in your perspective? Make an argument about the nature of the portrayal of the Little Prince as a “hero” given your understanding of the term and your understanding of the role of “fairy tales.”

The length of the essay assignment is 4-6 pages (including a reference page), double-spaced, Times New Roman font 12, APA style format.
