Use library databases, your favorite search engine, and company websites to explore the three suggested companies (Amazon, Starbucks, and Walmart) and their current practices. After learning more about the companies, select one of the three companies to research. This will be the company you research throughout course, so choose wisely! Then, think about some potential areas for improvement for the company. Keep in mind, since you likely are not employed by your chosen company, you will want to focus on an area for improvement visible from the customer’s point of view, rather than an internal process visible only to employees.
Initial Post: For your initial discussion post, state the company and research topic/question (area for improvement) you have chosen. Explain why you selected the company, and summarize the information you have gathered so far that helped you develop your research topic or question.
