Prepare a persuasive PowerPoint presentation with at least 15 slides (not including title and reference slides) advocating an alternative curriculum structure (e.g., block, year-round, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, gender-based).
Prepare the presentation for a fictitious parent group that you are trying to convince to implement your proposed curriculum structure because it is the best structure for your students.
Presentations must address the following criteria:
- Identification of problem, question, or issue
- Acknowledgement of context and assumptions
- Unique perspective, hypothesis, or position
- Supporting evidence
- Integration of other perspectives
- Conclusions, implications, and consequences
Along with the PowerPoint, slide notes, and background materials are required to be submitted to the instructor.
Use the GCU Library to research a minimum of four to six peer-reviewed articles that can be used in support of your content.
While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
